summer is back

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Its late september in BC, the weather is nice, mountain bike season is full throttle… we should be feeling good on the bike and in shape. To get back in the zone after some snow dreams, I surfed some mtb vids on the web. The VOD was Cam McCaul’s trick tip video on landing a dump 360. Of course, way too gnarly of a move for me but a well done video and Cam is a funny kid!

snow is coming

Last week I was hanging in the Selkirk mountains and suddenly it was snowing, hard. It literally went from t-shirt/ flip flop weather to ‘where’s my toque’ in minutes. A taste. To celebrate the soon to come change in weather, here’s a series of short POV clips from last year.

world champ Steve Peat

Monday, September 7th, 2009

My mate Steve Peat is 36 years old and has been competing in the mountain bike world championships for 16 years. He’s never won. Even after years of dominating the world cup circuit and multiple runner up performances at the worlds, Steve has never been crowned downhill champ, until now. Well done mate, I am so stoked to see the good guys win.
